Primeros pasos
- What is Adhoc?Adhoc connects UK parcel depots that need rounds covering with checked, self-employed couriers who have their own van.
- When does Adhoc open?Adhoc is not open yet. Join the waitlist and we will email you the moment couriers and depots can sign up.
- How do I join the waitlist?Enter your email address on the waitlist page or in any Join the waitlist box on the site.
- How do I create an account?Enter your email, confirm it with the 6-digit code we send, choose a password, then tell us whether you are a driver or a depot.
- What happens after I apply?A person at Adhoc checks your details and documents, then emails you to say you are approved or what needs changing.
- Is there an Adhoc app?Adhoc runs in your phone's web browser. Add it to your home screen and it opens full screen, like an app.
Mensajeros
- What do I need to sign up as a courier?Proof of your right to work, your National Insurance number, your UTR or company number, your van, hire and reward insurance and photo ID.
- Can I work as a sole trader?Yes. Choose Sole Trader and give your 10-digit UTR, or Limited Company and give your company number.
- How do I find and apply for jobs?Open Jobs to see rounds near you on a list or a map, then apply. You are booked only when the depot assigns you.
- What happens on the day of a round?Arrive in the collection window, scan in at the depot, deliver, report how many parcels you delivered, then scan out.
- How do I check in and out at the depot?Scan the code on the depot's screen with the scanner in Adhoc, or with your phone's own camera app.
- How do I report the parcels I delivered? At the end of the round, enter how many parcels you delivered and choose Submit & check out. The depot then approves the count.
- What if I can't make a job?Open the round and choose Report a problem as early as you can. The depot and Adhoc are told straight away.
- Why can't I apply for a job?Usually your van is too small, the round clashes with one you are booked on, or one of your documents needs replacing.
- How do I update my documents?Go to Account, then Documents, and upload a new copy. Your current copy stays valid until the new one is approved.
Depósitos
- How are depots approved?Tell us about your business and your depots in seven short steps. A person at Adhoc reviews it before you can post a job.
- How do I add or change a depot?Open the Depots tab to add another depot, edit an address or open a depot's check-in code.
- How do I post a job?Choose Post a job, fill in the round's date, times, parcels, van size, areas and pay, then pay and publish it to drivers.
- How do I choose a driver?Open the job to see everyone who applied, then choose Assign this driver. Everyone else is told they were not selected.
- How does check-in at the depot work?Leave your depot's code on a screen at the gate. Drivers scan it to check in when they arrive and to check out when they finish.
- How do I approve the delivered count?Open the job, check the driver's count against your records, then approve it or dispute it. The driver is not paid until you do.
- What if a driver does not turn up?We warn you if your driver has not checked in. Call them, or record a no-show and put the round back on the board.
- What can depots see about a driver? What they need to choose and work with a driver: name, van size, reference, and once assigned, their phone and progress. Never their documents.
