Each depot has a code screen. Open it on a tablet, laptop or spare phone and leave it where drivers arrive, such as the gate or the loading bay.
Opening the code
- From the Depots tab, choose Check-in code next to the depot.
- Or open the job and choose Show check-in code, or Show check-out code once the driver is out on the round.
One code serves every driver collecting from that depot. Adhoc works out which job a scan is for from the driver's own booking.
How the code works
- The code changes every 30 seconds and each one expires after 45 seconds, so a photo of it is no use later.
- Each driver can use a code once.
- The screen refreshes itself, so it can stay open all day.
- Under the code, Expected today lists the drivers assigned to collect from that depot and whether they have checked in.
When a driver checks in
We email you to say your driver has arrived. The job shows the time they checked in, and while they are out on the round it shows their latest location. Read when a driver's location is shared.
When a driver checks out
The driver reports how many parcels they delivered, then scans the check-out code. We email you to approve the count. Read how to approve it.
