As part of signing up, drivers pay a one-off vehicle deposit of £1. It is the sixth of the eight sign-up steps, straight after you tell us about your van.
Paying it
Pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card. If you have account credit, it is used first, and if it covers the whole deposit, no card is needed.
Once it is paid, the step shows the date you paid and you move on to the next step. You only pay it once.
If something goes wrong
- The payment did not go through: nothing was taken. Try again.
- Your payment is being processed: the step moves on by itself as soon as it clears.
- The payment is being refunded: this happens if your account credit changed while you were paying. Pay again.
