Your data rights (GDPR)

The rights UK data protection law gives you over your personal data, and how to use them with Adhoc.

The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 give you rights over the personal data Adhoc holds about you. Our privacy policy sets out what we hold and why; this page is about what you can ask us to do with it.

The right to be informed

You have the right to know what we collect, why, and who we share it with. That is what our privacy policy is for.

The right of access

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, along with what we use it for, who we have shared it with and how long we will keep it. This is often called a subject access request.

The right to rectification

If something we hold is wrong or incomplete, you can ask us to correct it. Couriers and depots can update most of their details in the app themselves.

The right to erasure

You can ask us to delete your data. We will, unless we have to keep it, for example records of payments we must keep for tax, or right to work evidence we must keep for the Home Office. If we cannot delete something, we will tell you what and why.

The right to restrict processing

You can ask us to stop using your data while, for example, we check whether it is accurate or consider an objection.

The right to data portability

Where we use data you gave us under a contract or with your consent, you can ask for it in a common, machine-readable format, or ask us to send it to another organisation.

The right to object

You can object to us using your data on the basis of our legitimate interests. We will stop unless we have compelling grounds to continue, or need it to establish or defend a legal claim. You can always object to direct marketing, and we will stop.

Rights about automated decisions

Adhoc does not make decisions about you that have a legal or similarly significant effect by automated means alone. Courier verification and depot approval are always reviewed by a person.

Withdrawing consent

Where we rely on your consent, such as the waitlist email or analytics cookies, you can withdraw it at any time. Use the cookie settings link at the foot of any page to change your cookie choice.

How to make a request

Email marian.nestorov@gmail.com or write to LMN Couriers Ltd., 90 Nelson Road, Gillingham, England, ME7 4LL. Tell us which right you want to use, and give us enough to find your data, such as the email address on your account.

  • It is free. We may charge a reasonable fee, or refuse, only if a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
  • We may ask you to prove who you are before we act, so that we never hand your data to someone else.
  • We will reply within one month. If a request is complex we can take up to two months more, and we will tell you within the first month if we need to.

If you are not happy

Tell us, and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
