Everyone on Adhoc is checked before they start

Depots are approved before they can post work. Couriers are verified before they can accept it. Keeping work safe and money reliable.

Depots are giving up parcels. Couriers are giving up their time.

Whether you’re handing over stock or giving up your day to deliver parcels, you need to know who’s on the other end.

  • Depots are approved, not just registered.

Every depot is checked before it can post a job, so the work you see on Adhoc comes from a real business.

  • Couriers are verified.

Photo ID, driving licence, vehicle insurance and either a company number or a sole trader UTR. We check that the person who turns up at the depot is the person who signed up.

  • The payout is agreed before you accept.

Every job shows its exact rate up front. Because depots are approved and their payment terms sit with Adhoc rather than with you, you know what you are owed and when it lands.

A depot has to earn the right to post work

Anyone can say they have parcels. Approval on Adhoc means we have checked the company behind them, the money behind them and the site you will be asked to turn up to.

  • Companies House registration checked against the trading name
  • Public liability and goods in transit insurance verified and in date
  • Bank details connected through TrueLayer so payments run bank to bank
  • Depot address and site contact confirmed before the first job goes live
  • Payment terms agreed in writing with Adhoc rather than with each courier

We check that everyone is who they say they are

A depot is handing stock to someone it has never met. Before you can accept a job we verify who you are, what you drive and that you are covered to carry it.

  • Photo ID checked against the name on your account
  • Full UK driving licence with categories matching your registered vehicle
  • Right to work in the UK confirmed before your first job
  • Hire and reward or courier insurance, in date and matching the vehicle
  • A limited company number, or a sole trader UTR if you work in your own name
  • Vehicle registration, make and size class recorded for the depot

Questions about verification

How long does verification take?

Most applications are reviewed within two working days. Clear photographs of in date documents are the thing that moves it fastest.

Can I work as a sole trader?

Yes. Register with your sole trader UTR if you work in your own name, or with your company number if you drive through a limited company.

What happens if a document is rejected?

Answer to be confirmed.

Do depots see my ID or my tax details?

Answer to be confirmed.

What if a depot does not pay?

Depots agree their payment terms in writing with Adhoc rather than with each courier, so you know what you are owed and when it lands.

Is my insurance checked more than once?

Yes. Documents are reviewed before approval and rechecked as they expire.
